From time to time, we get
visitors at Kaos. They may come for different reasons, for a taste
of the city life, as a stopping point on their way to a new home or just
because the Universe decided that things were getting a little bit calm
at Kaos. For whatever reason, we're always happy to have them and
usually even sad to see them go.

Shakeena's Rhiannon - Stevee
Stevee came to visit
us to be "citified" and get used to the noise and bustle of the
city and develop more confidence with new situations (she's also
Ryder's sister). Before she went home, Stevee won 2nd
place in the Open Bitch class at the Northern California SHC
Biennial Specialty and soon after returning home picked up her
first two points.

Artika-Couloir's Paris Dakar "Dakar"
Dakar is visiting at
Kaos to get used to city noises and people too. (Are you sensing a
theme here?) At 3.5 months, he's a joy to have around and
we're having fun taking Dakar out and about to get him used new
things. It's fun having a puppy around again...especially
since he'll be going home in a while. Dakar is not only learning
about all the fun of the city, but mastered doggie doors his first
day at Kaos. He's one smart cookie and Ryder is his hero.
No wonder I like him.
Dakar went on a grand
adventure with Satinka and drove out to Topeka, Kansas for the
Siberian Husky Club of America National Specialty. Although
he didn't win anything, he sure had fun and man...those glass
fronted elevators kicked his butt! By the end of the week he
was handling them like a pro. |

He
just keeps growing! This is Shamrock's Like Nothing Else,
almost 4 months later. Yep, he's still here at Kaos!
We're teaching him all sorts of good things...counter surfing,
sofa snuggling and oh, even how to be a show dog.
Humvee went Best of Opposite at his first match on April 9, 2006;
we couldn't be more proud of our little monster! |

Shamrock's Like
Nothing Else
or
Shamrock's H3
or...
Hummie, HumVee, Hummididdyfiddy, that stinky puppy boy...whatever
we call him, he sure is cute! Hummie is staying at Kamp Kaos
until Mom and Dad get their new building and fencing up...then
he's off to the wilds of Eastern Washington. |

Maskarade's Mistress of the Dark "Elvira"
Elvira was Satinka's brace partner at the 2005 Siberian Husky
National Specialty in Topeka, Kansas. Elvira and Satinka, a
novice to brace competition, took 2nd place in the brace
class...much to our delight.
Elvira stayed at Kaos for a few months, learning to live in the
house, and enjoying the luxury of the sofa and bed. It's a
lot quieter with her gone, but she's back at home with the rest of
her family at
Maskarade Siberian's new home up in Yakima, Washington. |

Button, Sassy and
Eddie
What do you say
when you're asked to take a litter of puppies? In this
case...YES! It was my first, and so far only, experience
with new born puppies. The 2am bottle feedings...the constant
scooping and cleaning...but the puppy kisses made up for all of
it. Loosing two of their siblings the first two days
was tough, but these three thrived...and taught me a lot.
They're in great homes (Eddie and Button are now Niko and Nakita
and live together and Sassy lives with her 10 yr old Siberian
pal.) |

With her bright blue
eyes, we welcomed Cassie into the family at Kaos. Niece to
Ice, littermate to Aleska, Cassie was a joy to have around.

JoJo came from the
shelter in Palmdale...actually, she came from a home where at 10
yrs old, she was dumped in the shelter by former owners.
Re-homed at Chyndadn Siberians, treated for hypothyroidism, JoJo
became a part of their family after her brief stop at Kaos.
JoJo died recently and our sympathy goes out to the Emler
family....and our gratitude for taking this old girl, making
her young again and loving her. |
